Balvantray Mehta Vidya Bhawan is an English medium co-educational composite Sr. Sec. School managed by the Servants of the People Society (Delhi Branch). The school was set up in the year 1961. The seeds were sown by Late Sh. Sewak Ramji & Pandit Shyam Narain in the form of a Primary school which is now a full-fledged Sr. Sec. School duly recognized by the Directorate of Education, GNCTD & affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.
Our Institution is a composite one having two self-contained wings, i:e the primary wing (recognized by the Directorate of Education, GNCTD) & the senior wing (recognized & aided by the Directorate of Education, GNCTD) & affiliated to the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). The present enrollment of students is more than 600 in each wing. Our Sr. Sec. The section has two streams namely science & commerce at +2 level.
Our unique philosophy & teaching approach aims to focus on the holistic development of children by drawing out their inherent love for learning.
School plays a very significant role in cultivating the right values of life within the school environment and through the conduct of the principal and teachers. Their interaction with role models and teaching faculty during the teaching/learning leaves an indelible positive impression on their minds. Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam remared when he visited our school “ Leave a child with a good teacher for eight years in the school and you will find him to have become a righteous man” after schooling. The personality of children can be transformed or mouled to become upright good human beings only in schools. The quality of integrity, honor, sacrifice, persistence, and perseverance are also cultivated in schools.
The School has the required infrastructure & facilities namely Activity Rooms, Library, Computer Labs, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Biology Lab, Math Lab, Staff room, Play Area for Primary Section & Playground for Sr. Sec. Section of the School.
With limited space & resources, we provide the best possible inputs in Academics, Computer Aided Learning, Games & Sports, Music, Dance etc. to our students.
Students are encouraged to participate in various activities which enable them to broaden their outlook & develop their talent. Primary school brings out a quarterly newsletter “EXPRESSIONS” where students get an opportunity to exhibit their talents in many ways.
The School is managed by the Managing Committee which is headed by Chairman Sh. Baldev Mahajan, Ex-Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools
